Program Manager

Website Association of Persons Affected by Addiction (APAA)
The Program Manager will be responsible for program development and implementation of Peer Recovery Support Services. He/ She oversees all aspects of the program, from inception to execution, ensuring that objectives are carried out on time and within budget. He/ She will be responsible for managing project budgets, supervising team members, preparing progress reports, and ensuring the smooth functioning of program operations under his/her oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities Administration and Development
- Supervise, plan and coordinate management of agency programs & service for all APAA
- Manage and approve schedules, time off, time sheets, expense sheets, and mileage logs of direct reports.
- Conduct timely staff performance observations and evaluations with prompt feedback and action plans for growth, development, and improvement.
- Provide and prepare for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly
- Help facilitate morning workshops.
- Create monthly Peer Support Group Facilitation Calendar
- Organize and maintain Master Training Calendar.
- Assist in the development of monitoring & reporting systems for programs and
- Coordinate agency participation in community events, programs, and
- Oversee enrollment process, membership filing system, and enrollment
- Supervise the development of member and volunteer services
- Supervise the development of various types of recovery plans to best meet the individual needs of members.
- Develop and implement peer member code of conduct, policies outlining expectations, behavior modification plan, and incident reporting & handling.
- Ensure grant funds are spent for the intended purpose and can be fully accounted for at all times.
Programs and Services Management
- Align programs & services to APAA’s mission, goals, and objectives to include organization culture and risk management for a safe environment.
- Review and update eligibility and enrollment
- Supervise the development of various types of recovery plans to best meet the individual needs of members/peers and program.
- Facilitate the development of guidelines & policies for the various programs in place to protect APAA’s interest, its staff.
- Facilitate the development of curriculum for recovery support groups.
- Supervise and assess programs & Report findings and make recommendations.
- Survey various APAA participants (customers & stakeholders) once a year for satisfaction feedback; to assess if goals are being met, and to identify any gaps in service delivery for improvements. (Session evaluation forms, recommendation box, and online form)
- Strategize and incorporate techniques to attain greater member retention, greater participation, greater volunteerism, and more visibility of successful peers throughout the
- Develop and implement peer member code of conduct, policies outlining expectations, behavior modification plan, and incident reporting & handling.
- Research trends in the field of recovery and other related programs and identify innovative strategies and solutions to challenges and barriers.
- Helps to maintain the APAA Resource Directory – a database of potential employers, housing opportunities, support services, collaborators, stakeholders, sponsors, connectors, and others.
- Recruit, train, and supervise interns as they support staff and the execution of
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
- Monitors and manages program metrics to manage employee performance
- Proactively identify program risks and issues
- Identifies potential points of contention for missed grant deliverables.
- Anticipates program challenges before they occur; defines the problem or risk; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution
- Ability to balance both the “science” of how to manage a program and the “art” of implementation (method)
- Analytical skills and problem-solving skills needed to manage the moving pieces of a program.
- Demonstrate business analytics to manage and meet APAA program grant outcomes and goals
Marketing
- Review and analyze APAA’s mission, goals, programs, and objectives periodically to ensure all communications are consistent and aligned.
- Design, develop and update program material & promotional
- Design, develop, and maintain updated promotional materials for APAA programs to include brochures, flyers, calendar of events, poster, and other pieces.
- Prepare and maintain program marketing materials notebook (to include relevant policies & procedures) for the training of satellite office staff members.
- Draft and develop implementation plan(s) for various APAA programs and
Training - Monitor and evaluate APAA’s training entity effectiveness, success, and ROI metrics periodically and report on them
- Ensure staff development workshops are planned, scheduled, and implemented
- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
Satellite Office(s)
- Develop and propose program schedules, description, policies, and
- Allocate funds & budgeting for each
- Develop action plans w/goals &
- Outline timelines and roll out schedules for
- Identify human capital and resources
- Evaluation and assessment of programs for lessons
- Implement process improvements as
- Facilitate and supervise needed training & staff
- Facilitate and supervise coordination with APAA Main Office/Recovery
- Develop and apply tracking and monitoring
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field can be substituted for
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program design and
- Ability to plan and
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizations and leadership
- Knowledge and skilled in computer operations and
- Experience in working with volunteers and peers in
- Familiar with city and county government
- Excellent judgment concerning professional and personal boundaries and cultural
