Presents the next Zoom-ONLINE Mental Health Peer Specialist-MHPS training.

***SCHOLARSHIPS may be available if you qualify***

WEEKEND TRAINING SCHEDULE: there will be 3 weekends for the MHPS Training.

Can’t take time off during the week due to work? We got you! WEEKEND ONLINE Training to meet your needs without taking time off work.

SCHEDULE:
REQUIRED 6hr Core Training: Saturday August 6th from 9-3pm (if you haven’t taken it already)
•1st Day of MHPS training: Sunday August 7th from 9-5pm
•2nd weekend of MHPS training Saturday & Sunday August 13-14th from 9-5pm
•3rd last weekend of MHPS training Saturday & Sunday August 20-21st from 9-5pm. COMPLETION DAY!

(MUST attend ALL 5 training days to get certificate of completion & state certified)

NOTE: Must register & complete screening process to attend training.

*Want to have a career using your lived experience with mental health & get paid for it?

*Want to be Medicaid billable?

*Are you 18 or older?

*Have high school diploma or GED?

*Do you desire to utilize lived experiences to help others with their recovery & self-discovery process?

*Do you have the open & willingness to publicly identify your recovery & self-discovery journey?

Get Texas State certified as a Mental Health Peer Specialist-MHPS after completing your training.

You will leave with a certificate of completion (MHPS) 40 education hours that lead you to obtaining your credentials (Medicaid billable)

*Who should attend?
ALL populations, cultures, LGBTQIA, pronouns, backgrounds, first responders, etc.

Those with lived experience of substance use & mental health challenges. LCDC, LCDCI’s, LPC’s, 12-steppers, those with lived experience in substance use & mental health, currently volunteering in a recovery/mental health location, those actively in the field but not quite sure how to provide quality peer support services with co-occurring challenges, those who have experiences jail/prison, those questioning how to get in the field of giving back due to experience of substance use/mental health, CPS workers that meet qualifications, attorneys that meet qualifications seeking knowledge on how to better support their participants, domestic violence services that may have staff that may meet qualifications, community advocates, re-entry services that may meet qualification… pretty much ALL those who have lived experience with substance use/mental health challenges, open to sharing recovery story, your neighbor, colleague, COPSD workers, community workers, mom, dad, sister, brother, niece, nephew, etc.

*What will I need to pay to start the process of registration?

Investment fee: $550 total for 5-day training; includes participant manual. (note: SCHOLARSHIPS available if you qualify)

$60 for REQUIRED zoom Peer Core-Training which makes you eligible for the MHPS 5-day training.
