Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS) – Supplemental

The MHPS Supplemental Training is a comprehensive curriculum approved by HHSC. After completing the course and passing the final knowledge assessment, students will be eligible to apply for certification as a Texas Certified Mental Health Peer Specialist through the Texas Certification Board.

The RSPS (Recovery Support Peer Specialist) Specialty Training offers a tailored curriculum aimed at equipping individuals with the essential abilities and insights to adeptly assist those facing substance use challenges on their path to recovery. This training is specifically crafted for individuals who have personally encountered substance use challenges and aspire to use their unique lived experiences to help others on their self-directed paths to recovery.
