Prerequisite: Core training certificate of completion
Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS) training meets the 46-hour state certification requirement. Participants who complete this training and pass the knowledge assessment are eligible to apply for Peer Specialist certification in the state of Texas. If you are interested in utilizing your lived experience in substance use recovery to support others with similar experiences, this training is for you. Training participants will learn Advocacy, Recovery/Wellness Planning, Mentoring & Role Modeling, Documentation Basics, Trauma-Informed Supports, Networking & Resources, and Motivational Interviewing Techniques.
