Real Deal Therapy & Wellness is a mental health treatment center offering PHP and IOP services. We serve individuals with primary mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, co-occurring disorders , and bipolar disorder in a supportive, trauma-informed setting.

Position Overview

We’re hiring a full-time Mental Health Peer Specialist (MHPS) to support clients in their recovery journey. You’ll use your lived experience to build trust, offer encouragement, lead peer groups, and help clients access tools and resources to support their mental health.

Key Responsibilities

Build supportive relationships with clients based on shared experience
Provide individual peer support focused on self-advocacy, goal-setting, and coping skills
Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery-focused groups
Help clients connect to local resources, peer networks, and wellness tools
Collaborate with therapists to support treatment goals
Document services in our electronic health record system
Participate in clinical meetings and peer supervision
Qualifications

Current MHPS certification in Texas (required)
At least 1 year of personal recovery from mental health challenges
Strong communication skills and a desire to help others
Full-time, in-person availability
Preferred

Experience in outpatient or PHP/IOP settings
Familiarity with WRAP or other recovery tools
