Join the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD as a Program Director III for Peers for Hope House.  Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Emergency Services and Residential Programs, this position is responsible for assuring adequate staffing patterns, meeting performance standards and compliance for supervised programs. Provides qualitative, supportive, and administrative leadership to staff. Works in collaboration with other Divisions and support departments within the Agency to achieve Division goals and objectives. Maintains effective collaborative working relationships with internal and various community stakeholders. This position requires travel, flexible work hours and on-call status

Your Role in Action:

·         Plans and implements program/unit objectives in accordance with applicable policies, plans and procedures.

·         Ensures TAC and HHSC Crisis Item V Peer Run Crisis Services standards are met.

·         Develops trauma informed service delivery and environment for both guests and staff.

·         Provides staff with written performance expectations and meets at least monthly one-on[1]one to review strengths and areas of opportunity. Supervisions are documented in Performance Pro.

·         Remain compliant with Peer Certifications and ensures all staff are compliant with their continuing education, certifications, and agency required trainings.

·         Monitors the delivery of appropriate services. Reviews Utilization Review, EPIC, and Quality Assurance reports. Creates/implements tools to measure service provision and quality including guest satisfaction. Monitors and maintains corrective action plans based upon report results.

·         Develops, prioritizes and implements measurable goals, objectives,. and processes to meet Agency mission, performance targets/requirements and Quality standards related to the delivery of clinical care.

·         Reviews all data available to ensure compliance with contract performance targets, quality management audits and other regulatory requirements and assures processes are instituted for correction of non-compliant areas.

·         Maintains positive, professional attitude during interactions with staff, Agency employees, contractors and service recipients.

·         In collaboration with the Division’s Budget Manager, monitors achievement of budgetary targets (expenses and revenue) for program supervised & assures correction for unacceptable variances.

·         Works collaboratively with both internal and community stakeholders to facilitate information in a coordinated and timely manner.

·         Works collaboratively with the Director of Emergency Services and Residential Programs and other Agency administrative staff to facilitate inter and intra-divisional integration to share information in a coordinated and timely manner.

·         Works collaboratively with agency staff to enhance customer satisfaction.

·         Coordinates as requested with local and state agencies to improve operations, treatment outcomes and collaborations.

·         Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.

What qualifications will you need:

Education:

·         Master’s degree in the Human services field

Experience:

·         At least five years management experience. This experience should include overseeing 24 hour programs (i.e., hospitals, residential programs, emergency centers), budgets, professional staff, Medicaid and other revenue generating activities.

·         At least 5 years’ experience working in a mental health and/or mental disabilities setting.

·         Preferred lived experience with mental health and/or substance use issues.

·         Willingness to share lived experience openly with others including staff and Respite guests

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·         Knowledge of WRAP, Creating a Trauma Informed Environment, and Peer Certification curriculum.

·         Must have basic knowledge of principles of the development, implementation and

monitoring of programs.

·         Must have working knowledge of basic principles of management.

·         Ability to effectively lead others in achieving organizational goals.

·         Strong communication skills with ability to effectively converse and listen to others and construct clear and concise written communication.

·         Able to utilize basic Word/ Excel documents successfully.

·         EPIC proficiency.

·         Recognizes the importance and benefits of developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community stakeholders.
