Supplemental Training Calendar

Peer Specialist
Core Training

The Peer Specialist Core training is a prerequisite to both the Mental Health Peer Specialist and Recovery Support Peer Specialist Supplemental Training.

This 3-day training is intended for individuals who have lived experience with mental health challenges or substance use disorders and wish to use their personal experiences to help others on their recovery journeys.

Peer Specialist

RSPS

This is the 2nd training individuals need to obtain the Recovery Support Peer Specialist certification. This 5-day training consists of 46 hours of instruction, including instructor-led lessons and self-study.

Students must have completed Peer Specialist Core training and received a completion letter.

Certified

Family Partner

CFP

The Family Partner (CFP) Certification Training is a 5-day virtual course conducted via Zoom. The training will be an intense, interactive, and fun-filled week spent exploring learning objectives to prepare participants for the Certification Exam on Day 5 of training. Completing this training and passing the final Certification Exam is required to apply to become a Certified Family Partner with the Texas Certification Board (TCB).
