Peer Specialist CORE Training

Training dates include ALL the following dates and times:

Friday: May 2nd from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Saturday and Sunday: May 3rd & 4th from 9 AM to 6 PM 

This training is required by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Certification Board for prospective peer specialists in the state. Our 19.5-hour training prepares you for moving forward with supplemental training and will equip you with the knowledge to engage others with your lived experience. We’ll cover fundamental concepts for delivering peer support services including multiple pathways to recovery, trauma-informed practices, and risk and protective factors, among other concepts that you’ll need for certification.

The cost for the core training is $275.
