Is delighted to present the next Texas Core Curriculum 19.5-hour Core Training for our future Mental Health Peer Specialist-MHPS & Recovery Support Peer Specialist-RSPS Training.

The Core training is a prerequisite to any of the Medicaid Billable certification trainings in Texas. The 19.5 hour Core Training is REQUIRED before you take any of the 5-day training’s (MHPS/RSPS). Participants are required to read and sign an attestation that they have completed the HHSC self-assessment and orientation.

The Core training is for Mental Health Peer Specialists (MHPS) and Recovery Support Peer Specialists (RSPS) covering a range of essential topics aimed at preparing individuals to effectively support others in their mental health and recovery journeys. These core topics provide a solid foundation for individuals training to become Mental Health Peer Specialists (MHPS) and Recovery Support Peer Specialists (RSPS), enabling them to effectively support others in their recovery journeys with empathy, respect, and professionalism.

CORE TRAINING SCHEDULE:

Saturday, January 31st – 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Sunday, February 1st – 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Saturday, February 7th – 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
